/ KRUSEVAC, June 16, 2016. / The members of the focus task force of the Local network of CSOs and institutions of the City of Vranje for the prevention, combating domestic violence and assistance to victims were at the panel on standards of the protection of women against violence on June 16. Held in the hall of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Krusevac.
The organizer of the panel was the Association of Women „Hourglass“ from Krusevac. The panel was moderated by Slavica Stanojlovic Urosevic, on behalf of the City of Krusevac Participants were welcomed by Zoran Pavlovic from the Department of Social Services of the City Administration of Krusevac.
Members of the focus task force of Local network to combat violence against women of Vranje spoke about the Council of Europe Convention to combat violence against women, its implementation at the local level, and standards the state is obliged to implement to prevent and combat violence against women.
Members of the focus task force of Local network of Vranje – representatives of institutions and civil society organizations: the Center for Social Work Vranje, the Basic Court in Vranje, Vranje Basic Prosecutor’s Office, Center for the Development of Local Social Welfare Services Vranje – Safe House, the Human Rights Committee Vranje – SOS Telephone Vranje – shared their experience as an example of good practice by the working group has since the beginning of the year.
The biggest success in the work of the focus task force is said to be holding meetings once a month, organized by the Human Rights Committee Vranje / SOS Telephone Vranje in order to effectively protect women victims of domestic violence. Meetings are helping them to work on specific cases of domestic violence, establishing effective mutual cooperation between the institutions as soon as possible and ensure adequate protection of a specific victim.
