/Brisel, Vranje, october 10, 2018/ Jury Step Up! a campaign implemented by the European WAVE Network, on October 3, 2018, chose Dejana Dexi Stosic, a peer educator „SOS Corner for girls Vranje“, as a youth ambassador from Serbia. This year, for the first time, a group of 11 ambassadors of young Wave networks in Europe was selected, out of which 20 countries had over 200 applications for the competition. Dejana Dexi Stosic was chosen as the Youth Ambassador from Serbia, with almost 40 applications.

The focus of the Step Up Campaign is the Istanbul Convention, advocacy for implementation, advocacy for ratification in the countries of Europe where it has not yet come into force and the search for the responsibility of European states to protect the rights of women with experience of violence. One part of the campaign is dedicated to young people and this year for the first time young ambassadors and ambassadors are elected for two years. The selected youth ambassador in Serbia will, in cooperation with the national organization that carries out the campaign in Serbia – FENOMENA from Kraljevo, www.fenomena.org, organize the promotion of the Istanbul Convention, youth education activities and promotional activities within the celebration of the global campaign „16 Days of Activism against Violence On Women „, International Women’s Day March 8, and dr. activities.
